Pit Road with Telegraph Poles and Lights

Norman walked the pit road for some 30 years or more so naturally it became a significant part of his life. He once recalled how a droplet of rain in his eye caused an explosion of colour – likening the light of industry to the stars at night. Hence why we see this pit road with glowing lights reminiscent of Van Gogh’s 'The Starry Night'
